Lewis Hamilton out of Coronavirus, Bahrain’s Sakhir Grand Prix

Shakheer (Bahrain): Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One team has said that 7-time world champion Lewis Hamilton has been found to be Coronavirus positive and the Sakhir Grand Prix Formula One race to be held later this week I will not be able to participate.

The team has issued a statement that 3 times last week Lewis Hamilton was COVID-19 and each time the result was negative. The team said, “But when he woke up on Monday morning, he had mild symptoms of corona and at the same time it was told that a person who came in contact with him before coming to Bahrain has been found positive.”

The statement said, ‘Lewis then got the test which came positive. This was confirmed in a repeat test. Hamilton will now have to undergo quarantine according to Bahrain’s health regulations. The last race of the season will be in Abu Dhabi after the race to be held in Sakhir of Bahrain on Sunday.
