New Delhi: Former Team India opener Wasim Jaffer will now be seen in a new role. He has been appointed as the head coach of the Odisha senior team for the upcoming domestic season. This is not the first time that Jaffer has become the coach of a domestic team, but before that he has also been the coach of the Uttarakhand team.
For this, former England captain Michael Vaughan pulled up Jaffer on social media, after which he himself got trolled.
Vaughn made fun of Jafar
When Wasim Jaffer has been made the coach of Odisha, Michael Vaughan tweeted, ‘Does he (Jaffer) need an assistant’. There has been no response from Jaffer on this yet, but the fans of the former Indian team opener have definitely given answers to Vaughan.

For India, Jaffer scored 1,944 runs in 31 Test matches at an average of 34.11, including five centuries and 11 half-centuries. His highest score is 212 runs.

2 year contract with Odisha team
Odisha Cricket Association CEO Subrata Behera told PTI, ‘He (Jaffer) will be the head coach. He has been contracted for 2 years. This decision was taken after the meeting of the Cricket Advisory Committee of the OCA. Jaffer will replace former state captain Rashmi Ranjan Parida who was with the team for two seasons.
