New Delhi: New Delhi: India defeated England by 10 wickets in the third Test match played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. India did this match in its name in just two days. After the end of this match many cricket giants started criticizing this pitch. Meanwhile, former India captain Mohammad Azharuddin has given a tremendous opinion to bat on the spin pitch.

‘Bat with rubber-soled shoes’

Mohammad Azharuddin, who specializes in playing spin bowling, believes that on turning pitches like the Narendra Modi Stadium, batting should be worn with rubber-soled shoes. He said that good footwork and right selection of shot is the key to success for batsmen. Azharuddin tweeted, ‘It makes no sense to wear spikes while batting. Rubber-soled shoes do not reduce the batsman’s ability. I have seen some great innings on difficult pitches in Test cricket which the batsmen have played wearing rubber-soled shoes.

Example of tennis

Mohammad Azharuddin (Narender Modi Stadium) said that even in big tennis tournaments like Wimbledon, players only wear rubber-soled shoes. He said, ‘It is said that this may cause the batsman to slip while running between the wickets but in Wimbledon all the tennis players play only by wearing rubber soled shoes.’
