Tamil Nadu actor Vijay Sethupathy is resuming his career through a biopic. Some political parties on Thursday alleged that Muralitharan betrayed the Tamils, so Sethupathi should not work in it.
Muralitharan said that he never supported the killing of innocent people. He issued a statement saying that he understands the pain of the Sri Lankan civil war and his family had taken a trip to Sri Lanka as a ‘coolie’.
Muralitharan has played 133 Test matches for Sri Lanka in which he has taken 800 wickets, which is why his biopic has also been named on this basis. Murali has also participated in 350 ODIs and has taken 534 wickets in his name.
