New trouble for Sushil Kumar, threat of being dropped from WFI’s annual contract players list


New Delhi: The problems of Olympic medal winner Sushil Kumar (Sushil Kumar) arrested in Sagar Rana Murder Case are going to increase further. The Wrestling Federation of India is preparing to give a big blow to this wrestler.

Corona postponed the meeting

The meeting between the Wrestling Federation of India and sponsor Tata Motors was to be held in 2020 but it was postponed due to Coronavirus Pandemic.

‘Decision based on performance’

A source in the Wrestling Federation of India said that the decision to remove Sushil Kumar has been made solely on the basis of performance and his alleged involvement in the murder of fellow wrestler Sagar Rana at the Chhatrasal Stadium. The reason has nothing to do with the arrest.

‘Sushil did nothing special’

The Wrestling Federation of India source told PTI, ‘It is clear that Sushil Kumar has not done anything special since the contract was offered. When the review meeting is held next month, they will not be able to get the contract.

Sushil was involved in grade A

Sushil Kumar (Sushil Kumar) got a place in Grade A initially after being placed in Grade B. 30 lakhs are paid annually in Grade A while Rs. 20 lakhs in Grade B. Sushil could not win a medal in the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and was eliminated in the first round of the 2019 World Championship. He did not play in any tournament after this.
