New Delhi: Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar, who has blown the senses of batsmen around the world with his stormy bowling, has told that he used to sweat in dismissing the Indian batsmen. Shoaib Akhtar has revealed that even though it was a bit easy to dismiss a great batsman like Sachin Tendulkar, it was very difficult to bring down the wall of India.

Recalling that match, Akhtar said, ‘The final match was in Bangalore, I had dismissed Sadagopan Ramesh early. We took three-four wickets early. Sachin was not playing in that match. Shahid Afridi was telling me to bowl whatever and get Dravid out otherwise he will play long. Akhtar said, ‘I hit him straight on the pad and appealed to the umpire. I even said that today is Friday. They didn’t give the verdict in our favour, but in the end we won the match.
Shoaib Akhtar took revenge
Rahul Dravid scored 270 runs in the decider of the series during India’s tour of Pakistan in 2003-04. Dravid then led India to victory in the historic Test series. Shoaib Akhtar first showed his bowling skills in 1999 against Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid.
