New Delhi: Pakistan has been playing series with small teams like Zimbabwe for some time continuously. For this, they are constantly trolled all over the world. People even say that by playing against small teams, Pakistan increases its points and is afraid of playing with big teams.
Heavyweights start raising questions
Meanwhile, former Pakistan players questioned the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for holding a two-match Test series against Zimbabwe and advised that the Test series should be played against strong teams in future. Pakistan won this two-match series unilaterally 2–0. Former cricketers said that neither Pakistan nor Zimbabwe benefited from this series.
Rameez Raja raging
Former Pakistan captain Rameez Raja (Ramiz Raza), calling it a bad outcome for Test cricket, has advised Zimbabweans to focus on limited-overs cricket. Raja said on his YouTube channel, ‘Such one-sided matches are like a joke and because of this, fans will like to watch other games. You learn by playing against strong teams but I don’t think we have learned anything against Zimbabwe because these matches were completely dominated by Pakistan.
Rashid Latif also raised questions
Former captain Rashid Lathif questioned this series and said, ‘What was the purpose of this series. It is good that Pakistan got a chance to play Test matches but PCB should think about playing against strong teams in future. The former wicketkeeper batsman said that Pakistan should have talked to South Africa about playing a Test match instead of going to Zimbabwe.
