Pakistan Cricket Board takes big step, begins investigation of Coronavirus Positive case on New Zealand Tour

Karachi: Pakistan Cricket Board has started an investigation into the matter of how 10 of its players became Coronavirus Positive as soon as they reached New Zealand. It has been found that during the domestic Quaid e Azam Trophy, some players of one or two teams had complained of mucus, fever and sneezing before going on tour to New Zealand which are also symptoms of Corona virus infection.

A PCB source said, “These players had a viral infection due to the changing weather and their report was also negative in the board’s coronavirus test conducted in Lahore, but Christchurch had reached. After this his report came positive where after 10 positive tests the whole team is in quarantine.

The source said that a foreign player playing for a team in PSL is also in quarantine for 8 days after reaching positive results after reaching his country. Sohail Tanvir, who is out of the Pakistan Cricket Team, was also found positive after reaching Colombo for the Lanka Premier League (LPL) and is now returning home.
