Parthiv Patel made a big statement on Virat Kohli, said- Virat has not won any ICC title as captain


New Delhi: Former Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Parthiv Patel has said that Virat Kohli has not won any ICC tournament title as a captain so far and now he has this opportunity by winning the World Test Championship final. There is a chance to end the title drought. India has to play the WTC final with New Zealand in Southampton from June 18 to 22.

Parthiv Patel commented on Virat Kohli

Parthiv Patel said in a TV show, ‘This is the best format of cricket. Everyone wants to be a Test player and now here is the World Cup of Test Championship.

He said, ‘Virat Kohli now has a chance to win his first ICC title as captain. He has led India in many ICC tournaments, but this is the biggest. If India wins the World Test Championship under his captaincy then it will be a huge achievement for Kohli.

Let us tell you that Kohli has captained India in the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy and the 50-over World Cup in 2019. India lost to Pakistan by 180 runs in the final of the Champions Trophy and 18 runs to New Zealand in the semi-finals of the World Cup 2019.

The fight will start from June 18

The World Test Championship final against New Zealand will be played in Southampton on June 18 while the series against England will start in Nottingham from August 4. The second Test will be played at Lord’s from 12 to 16 August, the third at Leeds from 25 to 29 August, the fourth at The Oval from 2 to 6 September and the fifth at Manchester from 10 to 14 September.
