The domestic season of 2021-22 will also be discussed in the meeting. The BCCI official has said that nothing final has been done regarding the IPL.

The franchisees have not received any information about this, though they have been told that they will come to know only after May 29.

A franchisee official told IANS, ‘Nothing is decided yet. But we know that the board can take a decision on this matter on May 29 and after that we can give information about it ‘.

The second phase of the 14th edition of the IPL can be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in September-October. The 14th edition of the IPL was postponed due to Corona. There are still 31 matches left in the tournament.

There is a possibility of tournament in UAE

The BCCI now wants the remaining matches of the tournament to be held in the UAE. In the year 2020 also the 13th edition of the tournament was held in the UAE itself and it was very successful.

The Indian team is reaching England for the World Test Championship final on June 2 and the five-match series with England. India has to play the Test Championship final in June and after that the Test series will be played.

Earlier, BCCI secretary Jai Shah had said in a letter to the state cricket associations, “The BCCI special general meeting will be held on May 29 to discuss the upcoming domestic cricket season in view of the widespread epidemic situation in India”. .
