new Delhi: Olympic silver medal winner and current world badminton champion PV Sindhu will practice from 16 February at Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad. Sindhu’s father has said that he has left Pullela Gopichand Academy.
Former international volleyball player and Sindhu’s father PV Ramana has made it clear that his daughter has changed the training venue for psychological reasons. The reason for this is that Gachibowli Stadium gives the experience of playing in the venue of the World Class.

PV Ramana says that his daughter’s visit to Gachibolvi is not related to any disagreement with national coach Gopichand. Significantly, Pullela Gopichand has been playing the role of PV Sindhu coach for a long time.
Arjuna Award winner Ramana has said that PV Sindhu has not separated from coach Gopichand, she wants to train in an environment that gives her the experience of an Olympic venue. The Sports Authority of India (SAI) and the Badminton Association of India (BAI) are aware of this change.
The 25-year-old Sindhu has not yet qualified for the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games, but is close to achieving an Olympic berth. Wanting a podium finish in the Tokyo Olympics to be held in July-August, she will begin practice under supervision of Korean coach Park Tae Sang from Tuesday.
Park Tae Sang took over the training of Kim Ji Hyun after he left Sindhu in September 2019. Sindhu won the singles title of the World Championship held in the Swiss city of Basel in August 2019. She became the first Indian player to do so.
