New Delhi: Former South African cricketer AB de Villiers is one of the best batsmen in the world. De Villiers has also supported his IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for many years. Although in the meantime de Villiers has failed to win the title to this team, but still de Villiers has always supported RCB’s success the most.
Now legendary spin bowler Brad Hogg has made a big statement on AB de Villiers, who has contributed the most for RCB. Hogg has given a big warning to RCB before IPL 2021.
Hogg’s statement on AB de Villiers
Brad Hogg said that RCB should not retain AB de Villiers during the 2022 IPL. Hogg has also given a big reason behind this. He said that maybe de Villiers does not play for a long time in the coming time, so there is no use of retaining him. Hogg has said this while tweeting.
He said, ‘The players will have to invest 4 years. I would love to retain Virat Kohli, Mohammad Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal, Devdutt Padikkal. The importance of local players is more important and that is why I am choosing them. I want to see how many years AB de Villiers will play. Jamieson can also be released because investing in foreign players is risky.
4 year window to invest in players.
Keeping locals vital.
I would find out on how long AB De Villiers wants to play to before I make the final decision. Jamieson would be looked out to. Overseas player investment to risky today though. https://t.co/z5bycmioie

Mega auction will happen next year
In fact, the mega auction of IPL is going to happen next year. Apart from this, 10 teams will participate in IPL instead of 8 from next year. So it becomes more important that before this auction, which player the teams retain from their team and which player is released.
