India’s star wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant got his first dose of Corona vaccine on Thursday. The 23-year-old cricketer from India, taking the vaccine, tweeted his picture. He is in the Indian team for the World Test Championship final against New Zealand and the subsequent five-Test series against England. He tweeted and said, ‘The first dose of vaccine has been taken. If you are eligible to be vaccinated, do not delay. The sooner we get vaccinated, we will be able to defeat the virus.

More Indian players have got vaccinated

Earlier, captain Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara, Umesh Yadav, Ishant Sharma and Jaspreet Bumrah also took their first dose of vaccine at different centers. Head coach Ravi Shastri first got vaccinated in March itself. The government has started vaccination for all citizens above the age of 18 from May 1.
