Sagar Murder Case: Sushil Kumar’s appearance in Special Cell’s office, a colleague also arrested


New Delhi: Olympic medal winner Sushil Kumar has been arrested in connection with the assault and murder at Chhatrasal Stadium. Special CP of Special Cell Neeraj Thakur said that wrestler Sushil Kumar has been arrested by a team of Special Cell.

The special cell arrested from Delhi’s Mundka will be produced in Rohini Court, from where Sushil and his partner Ajay will be handed over to the North-West District Police.

Let us tell you that late night of May 5, Sushil Phalwan and his colleagues kidnapped Sagar and his friends on a weapon before a flat in Delhi’s Model Town Police Station area. Then he was beaten up by taking him to Chhatrasal Stadium. After which Sagar died in the hospital. After hearing the news of the death, Sushil wrestler fled with his companions.

The court rejected the anticipatory bail

Sushil is facing charges of involvement in the murder of a former international wrestler at the Chhatrasal Stadium and was absconding for the last few days. A Delhi court recently refused to grant him anticipatory bail.

Lookout notice was issued on 15 May

After being accused in the murder of wrestler Sagar Dhankhar, he had no contact since May 4 and the Delhi Police announced a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh to get feedback and information on the same. After this, Sushil applied for bail. On May 15, the court issued a non-bailable warrant against Sushil Kumar. Last week, Delhi Police issued a look out notice for Kumar.
