New Delhi: The Twitter tussle between Indian commentator Sanjay Manjrekar and off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is increasing. The controversy started after Sanjay Manjrekar’s comment when he issued a statement on Twitter about Ravichandran Ashwin.
What did Manjrekar say?
Commentator Sanjay Manjrekar had said that when people describe off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin as one of the greatest bowlers of all time, he has a little problem with it. When you look at Ravichandran Ashwin’s strong performance on Indian pitches, Jadeja has taken almost equal to him in the last four years. In the last series against England, Axar Patel took more wickets than him. That’s why it is not right to call Ashwin one of the greatest bowlers of all time and assume so.
Ashwin gave this reaction
Ravichandran Ashwin reacted to this tweet of Sanjay Manjrekar and replied to the Indian commentator by sharing the picture of the Tamil film ‘Anniyaan’ which was released in Hindi with the name of ‘Aparchit’. In the picture shared by Ashwin, the lead hero of the film tells his friend, ‘Don’t do this, my heart hurts.’

Now Manjrekar retaliated
Sanjay Manjrekar retorted to Ravichandran Ashwin’s tweet, writing, ‘Simple, simple, my heart hurts seeing the assessments of cricket, nowadays there is a ruckus.’ After this tweet by Sanjay Manjrekar, fans are giving their reaction fiercely on social media. Manjrekar has taunted Ashwin through this tweet.
Also Chaari, my heart aches to see simple, straightforward, cricketing assessments kick up a fuss these days https://t.co/7r7SNqpQq3
