Colombo: Sri Lanka Cricket has asked the manager of its national team to report on allegations of sexual misconduct of a budding player and a female member of the medical staff.
Sri Lanka Cricket came under controversy when several reports from the local media found a young spin bowling allrounder with a female officer in his hotel room.
Misbehavior with medical staff
Sri Lanka Cricket said that there are many media reports that a member of the team currently playing a Test series against England misbehaved with a member of the medical staff.
Sri Lanka Cricket said in a release, ‘Realizing the seriousness of the matter, we have asked team manager Asantha de Mail to report the incident so that the veracity of the media reports can be confirmed’.
