DubE: Delhi Capitals opener Shikhar Dhawan has crossed the 5000 runs mark in the IPL. Dhawan achieved this position during the match with Kings XI Punjab at Dubai International Stadium. He is only the fifth batsman to score 5000 or more runs in IPL.
Before this match, Dhawan needed 62 runs to become 5 Hazari in the IPL, which Gabbar has achieved in a great way.

Shikhar Dhawan has come at number three in IPL scoring 5000 runs in the lowest innings and for this Dhawan has left behind Suresh Raina and Rohit Sharma. Dhawan has completed 5 thousand runs in 168 innings. While Raina did this feat in 173 and Rohit 187 innings. David Warner leads the race. Warner completed this feat in 135 innings. At the second place is Virat Kohli, who achieved this feat in 157 innings.
Dhawan played a stormy innings of 106 not out against Kings XI Punjab with the help of 12 fours and 3 sixes in 61 balls. Dhawan has become the only player to score two consecutive centuries in two matches in the IPL. Earlier Dhawan played an explosive innings of 101 not out against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the last match of Delhi.
