Imam-ul-Haq has become the 5th batsman in the world to score the fastest 2000 runs in the history of ODI cricket. The record for the fastest 2000 runs in ODI cricket is held by Hashim Amla of South Africa, who achieved this position in 40 innings. Imam also broke the record of India’s Shikhar Dhawan, who touched this figure in the 48th innings.
