Shreyas Iyer, owner of Delhi Capitals, tweet signals to remain out of IPL 2021 season

New Delhi: During the first ODI between India and England (IND vs ENG) played in Pune (Pune), Team India batsman Shreyas Iyer succumbed to a serious injury. Because of this, there is a risk of them staying out of IPL 2021.

Injured during fielding

During the ODI match played on 23 March, Shreyas Iyer’s shoulder was fractured. The incident took place in the 8th over of England’s innings when Shreyas dived in an attempt to stop a shot of Johnny Bairstow from fast bowler Shardul Thakur.

DC owner expresses regret

Parth Jindal, co-owner of Delhi Capitals, tweeted, ‘I am very sad and disappointed for your captain Shreyas Iyer’s condition, you remain strong captain. I hope you become very happy very soon. I am sure that you will emerge stronger. India needs you in the T20 World Cup.

Iyer will be out of the entire IPL season?

This tweet from the Delhi Capitals co-owner suggests that Shreyas Iyer’s hopes of an early return to the field are low. Parth Jindal himself wants him to come back completely healthy so that he can be included in the T20 World Cup to be held this year.
