New Delhi: The BCCI has released an annual contract for the women’s cricket team. Earlier the contract for the men’s team was issued. If you look at the contract of both the teams, there is a difference of crores between the women’s team and the men’s team. Many times questions have been raised on why the difference between the two?
Men’s team and women’s team contract
Male cricketers get Rs 7 crore annually under Grade A Plus. After this, the players present in A grade get 5 crore, the players in B grade get 3 crore and the players in C grade get 1 crore.
At the same time, women team players get Rs 50 lakhs annually in Grade A. 30 lakh rupees a year for Grade B players. 10 lakh rupees annually for Grade C players.
That means A grade in the women’s team gets 50 lakh less than the grade C of the male team. In such a situation, Smriti Mandhana gave a statement on the difference between the two.
