Dhaka: Bangladesh’s all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan wants to participate in IPL 2021. He was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) during this year’s auction, but now there is a dispute about his decision to play in this tournament.
‘The matter was misrepresented’
Shakib Al Hasan on Sunday claimed that the BCB misrepresented his decision to prefer the IPL rather than the Test series against Sri Lanka. According to him, whoever said this did not read the letter properly.

BCB will decide
Bangladesh Cricket Board said on Monday that it could reconsider giving ‘No Objection Certificate’ (NOC) to cricketer Shakib Al Hasan to play in IPL 2021.
What did the BCB say?
BCB Cricket Operations Chairman Akram Khan said after meeting with Board President Najmul Hasan at his residence that the grant of NOC to Shakib will be considered in the next two days. He said, ‘Shakib has clearly written in his letter that he wants to play in the IPL instead of the Test series against Sri Lanka’.
Shakib will play in Test?
According to ESPNcricinfo, Khan said, ‘I heard that I did not read his letter. Maybe I could not understand it. He wants to play the test as he said. We will consider his NOC in the next 2 days. If they show interest, they will play in the Test against Sri Lanka.
