T20 World Cup 2021: England’s second consecutive win, thrashed Bangladesh by 8 wickets in a one-sided match


New Delhi: In the Super 12 of the ICC T20 World Cup, in the match played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Wednesday, England trampled Bangladesh by 8 wickets. Batting first after winning the toss, Bangladesh scored 124 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. In response, the England team, who came to the field chasing the runs, completed this target in 14.1 overs. Jason Roy (61) played an important role in the team’s victory by batting brilliantly.

But the partnership of Nurul Hasan and Mehndi Hasan took the team beyond 100 runs. Then Hasan got out after scoring 11 runs in 18 overs. Due to the good batting of Nurul Hasan (15) and N Ahmed (19) in the last few overs, the team’s score could reach 124.

After losing the toss, the England team, who came to bowl first, bowled tremendously on the slow pitch here and gave three blows to Bangladesh in the very beginning. Tymal Mills took the highest three wickets in his name. Moeen Ali and Liam Livingstone got two wickets each, while Chris Woakes got one wicket.
