New Delhi: T20 World Cup 2021 will be played on the soil of UAE and Oman in October-November this year. Like every time, this year too, cricket fans are eagerly waiting for the big match between India and Pakistan. Pakistan has been losing most of the big ICC matches against India but now they have tried to play a new trick.
Pakistan will get benefit from these two giants
Former Australia opener Matthew Hayden and South African pacer Vernon Philander have been appointed as the coaches of the Pakistan team for the upcoming T20 World Cup. Hayden and Philander were appointed as coaches the day former cricketer Rameez Raja officially became the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Raja was quoted as saying by Cricinfo, ‘Hayden is Australian and he has the experience of winning the World Cup. Apart from this, he himself is a great player.
He said, ‘It can be beneficial to have an Australian in the dressing room. Pakistan has also won the World Cup. All they need to do is improve their performance by an additional 10 per cent. I also know Philander and he understands bowling and he has a good record against Australia.
Veterans left their posts
Hayden and Philander have been appointed after Misbah-ul-Haq as head coach and Waqar Younis resigning as bowling coach. Hayden and Philander, however, do not have much coaching experience. Philander retired from cricket in 2020 while Hayden retired in 2009.
The fight will start from October 17
The ICC T20 World Cup will be held in the UAE from October 17. 16 teams will participate in this tournament. Whereas the final match of this tournament will be played on November 14. India will play its first match against Pakistan on 24 October.
