T20 World Cup 2021: This ‘underdog’ team can spoil the game of good, big warning for India too

New Delhi: The excitement of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 is on the rise. Before the Super-12 stage is going to start from 23 October, Sunil Gavaskar and Wasim Akram have given a big warning to all the teams.

This team will spoil everyone’s game!

Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram has said in a conversation with a news channel that even if Afghanistan itself cannot make it to the semi-finals, it can spoil the game of many teams.

‘Afghan team has many match winners’

Wasim Akram said about the combination of the Afghan team that this team has good batsmen as well as excellent bowlers like Rashid Khan, Mujeeb ur Rahman. Due to which the rest of the teams need to be cautious.

‘Afghanistan has no fear’

Wasim Akram also praised the captain of the Afghanistan team, Mohammad Nabi. He further said that there are many such players in this team who are not afraid of defeat and the Afghan team will definitely get the benefit of it in their group round matches.

Gavaskar also praised

Apart from Wasim Akram, former India captain Sunil Gavaskar also praised the Afghan team. According to the Little Master, Afghanistan has nothing to lose and the pressure on them is much less than the big teams, which they can benefit from.

‘Difficult to research Afghan players’

Sunil Gavaskar said that the rest of the big teams might have less than 20 overs to judge the Afghan players. Therefore, it will be very difficult to do research on each and every cricketer of this team.

‘These players have T20 league experience’

Sunil Gavaskar also believes that some Afghan players have the experience of playing in big T20 leagues like IPL and PSL which will be useful for them, although less experience at the international level can also prove to be their weakness.

Team India also needs to be cautious

In the current T20 World Cup, Team India and Afghanistan have been placed together in Group-2, both the teams will compete on 3 November in Abu Dhabi. In such a situation, Virat Kohli’s army will have to stay away from the Afghan team. This team made it difficult for the Indian team in the ICC World Cup 2019, but Mohammed Shami overturned the bet.
