T20 World Cup 2021: This veteran got angry over keeping R Ashwin out of Playing 11, said- the matter should be investigated

New Delhi: The Indian team had to face defeat by 8 wickets in the second T20 World Cup match against New Zealand. This was the second consecutive defeat of the Indian team, which had lost to Pakistan by 10 wickets in the first match. Team India’s legendary spin bowler Ravichandran Ashwin has not yet been given a chance in the World Cup. After which a new ruckus has arisen.

Investigation should be done for not including Ashwin

Former India selector Dilip Vengsarkar said that he has never seen the Indian team struggling with poor form in the T20 World Cup match against New Zealand. He also demanded a probe into the repeated exclusion of R Ashwin from the playing 11. Vengsarkar said a day after India’s eight-wicket loss at the hands of New Zealand, “The team was not in form at all and the players looked tired. I don’t know whether it was bio-bubble fatigue or something else. I haven’t seen such gestures of players in a long time.

Disgraceful performance of players

He said, ‘It was a very poor performance. Be it batting or bowling. In this format, you have to perform well with the very first ball. In the first two matches, India kept Ashwin out by adding Varun Chakravarthy and Ravindra Jadeja as the two spinners. Vengsarkar said, ‘Why is Ashwin being thrown out again and again. This is the subject of investigation. He is the best spinner in every format and has taken 600 international wickets. He is the senior most spinner and he is not being picked. I don’t understand. He did not play a single match in the series against England. Why was he chosen then it is a mystery to me.

India lost again to Kiwi team

Team India had defeated New Zealand twice in the 1987 World Cup. After this, they were defeated by 7 wickets in the 2003 World Cup. After this, India is still yearning for a win against the Kiwi team. The same situation happened in India’s match on Sunday, after which ‘Virat Army’ is in danger of being out of the current tournament.
