New Delhi: Under the captaincy of Virat Kohli, Team India has to play a 5-match Test series against hosts England next month. Before this big series, Team India is sweating heavily. Meanwhile, the team also played a practice match against the county team of England, in which the team’s performance was not very special.
Team all out on 311
The Indians (Indian team) were all out for 311 runs on the second day of the three-day warm-up match against County XI at the Riverside Ground here on Wednesday. Mohammad Siraj remained unbeaten on three runs in the innings of the Indians. For County XI, Craig Miles took four wickets while Lyndon James and Liam Patterson White got two wickets each and Jack Carson got one wicket.
Only two batsmen hit
Earlier, the Indians started playing 306 for nine on the second day with Jasprit Bumrah leading the innings by three and Siraj by one run. Both the batsmen added a total of five more runs, after which Bumrah was dismissed as the last batting after scoring five runs and the team’s first innings was all out. Lokesh Rahul 101 (retired out), Ravindra Jadeja 75, Mayank Agarwal 28, Hanuma Vihari 24, Cheteshwar Pujara 21, Shardul Thakur 20 and captain Rohit Sharma scored nine runs for the Indians.
Kohli and Rahane injured
A bad news has also come out before this series. Actually team captain Virat Kohli and vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane have been injured. Both these players did not even participate in the practice match against the county team. Although the fans should hope that both these players will get well soon.
