Will IPL fight start again in September?
Actually, if the reports are to be believed, BCCI is considering to conduct the remaining matches of IPL 2021 in UAE from September 15 to October 15. The Times of India has quoted this information.
It is being said that after the 5-match Test series between India and England, the 14th season of the IPL can be ended by playing the remaining 31 matches between 15 September and 15 October.
The TOI has quoted sources as saying that the BCCI official said, “If the 9-day gap is reduced to 4 days between the second and third Test against England, the BCCI can use those extra 5 days”. However, the Indian board has not officially spoken to the ECB on this yet.
Let us know that the World Test Championship final against New Zealand will be played in Southampton on 18 June while the series against England will start in Nottingham from 4 August. The second Test will be played at Lodgers on 12 to 16 August, the third at Leeds on 25 to 29 August, the fourth at the Oval on 2 to 6 September and the fifth at Manchester from 10 to 14 September.
