The fate of these 3 players of India will open, BCCI will add to Team India for T20 World Cup

Dubai: The T20 World Cup will be played on UAE soil from October 17. Before this important ICC tournament, there can be a big change in Team India. The selection committee of the Cricket Board of India (BCCI) led by Chetan Sharma is likely to discuss the inclusion of 3 new players in the 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup. According to the Cricbuzz report, the selectors have shortlisted RCB bowler Harshal Patel, KKR batsman Venkatesh Iyer and Shivam Mavi as the highest wicket-taker in IPL 2021.

The fate of these 3 players of India will open

According to the information, these 3 players can be asked to stay in UAE after IPL 2021 is over. These players will give necessary support to Team India in training in the T20 World Cup. After the end of IPL 2021, BCCI can ask these players to join the team. Let us tell you that Virat Kohli will captain the Indian T20 team for the last time in the T20 World Cup. Under his captaincy, India has not won any ICC trophy so far. The Super-12 stage of the T20 World Cup will start from 23 October. Team India has directly qualified for the Super-12 stage. Therefore BCCI can make changes in its squad of the World Cup by 15 October.

Suspense about Hardik Pandya’s bowling

Amidst the suspense regarding Hardik Pandya’s bowling, BCCI still has five more days (October 15) to make changes in the team. The ICC has extended the deadline for changes in the last 15 to 15 October for the teams included in the Super 12 group. The change deadline for the teams participating in the first phase was midnight (UAE time) of 10 October. Hardik Pandya, who suffered a stress fracture in his back two years ago, has not bowled much since his return from surgery. It has to be seen whether he will bowl in the World Cup or will focus only on batting.

Big change can happen in Team India

A senior BCCI source told PTI on condition of anonymity, “India’s core team of 15 members lacks at least one fast bowler. We have experienced options like Shardul Thakur and Deepak Chahar. Shardul has proved himself as a bowling all-rounder while Deepak Chahar has displayed his batting skills in Sri Lanka.

Varun Chakraborty’s knee problem

“If Hardik is unable to bowl, then the committee can include either of these two in the team,” the source said. The selectors may again discuss the name of Hardik as well as ‘mystery’ spinner Varun Chakraborty, who has a knee problem. The source said, “If Varun is not part of the team due to a knee problem, then he sees only one option and that is Yuzvendra Chahal. Umran Malik is already present as a net bowler in India’s bio bubble. It will be interesting to see whether Shivam Mavi is kept as a net bowler or not.
