The wait for the new ICC Chairman is over, Greg Barclay of New Zealand will take over the responsibility


new Delhi: Gage Barclay of New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has been appointed as the ICC President, replacing Shashank Manohar of India, who left the post this year. Barclay is a lawyer by profession who is a resident of Auckland, he is the director of New Zealand cricket since 2012. He will have to leave the old post to assume the post of ICC chairman.

Greg Barclay has been the director of ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. Apart from this, he has also held the post of Board Member and Chairman of Northern District Cricket Association (NDCA). He has experience of several companies from New Zealand and Australia.

On his new appointment, Greg Barclay said, “It is an honor to be appointed the Chairman of the ICC, I thank all the ICC Directors for their support, I hope that we will come together and help with this global epidemic.” Will be strong against, and will focus on progress.

He said, ‘I would like to thank Imran Khwaja, the leadership he has played as the acting president of the ICC in such a difficult time, I want to work closely with him in the future’
