Throat: The ICC on Sunday congratulated Ranjan Madugalle for completing 200 Test matches as a former Sri Lankan cricketer and match referee. He also serves as the chief referee of the elite panel.

Ranjan Madugalle achieved a historic milestone in the first Test between Sri Lanka and West Indies at Galle. On this success, Madugalle was presented with mementos by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), ICC Vice President Dr Jayanta Dharmadas and SLC CEO Ashley de Silva.

Ranjan has a lot of experience
Apart from officiating in 200 Test matches, Ranjan Madugalle has played the role of referee in 369 ODIs and 125 T20 matches. Along with this, she has also served as a match referee in 14 Women’s ODIs and eight Women’s T20s.

After achieving the historic feat, Madugalle said in a statement, “It is an honor and a privilege to be the referee in my 200th Test match, as it is a feat I never imagined. Although it has taken a lot of time.

Ranjan Madugalle said, ‘I have enjoyed every part since I started this journey. Obviously dreams are made of this and I will continue my role with passion.
