New Delhi: Harshal Patel holds the record for most wickets taken by an Indian in an IPL season. He has left behind Mumbai Indians fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah in this matter. Jasprit Bumrah had the highest number of 27 wickets in a season of IPL, but now Harshal Patel has made this record by taking 29 wickets in the matches so far.

Harshal Patel has impressed everyone in this IPL season. He has taken 29 wickets in his name in 13 league matches played. However, Royal Challengers Bangalore have already qualified for the playoffs before the match against Hyderabad, in which Harshal Patel has been an important contributor. Harshal also took 5 wickets in this IPL match against Mumbai Indians.

He can hold the record for taking most wickets in a season in IPL history. This record is currently in the name of Dwayne Bravo of Chennai Super Kings who has taken 32 wickets in his name.
