This star batsman died at the age of 29

Kabul: Afghanistan’s international cricketer Najeebullah Tarakai has passed away. The 29-year-old player was injured in a road accident on Friday, after which his condition was very serious and now this top-order batsman has died in the hospital.

The Afghanistan Cricket Board has given information about this by tweeting. The board tweeted, ‘ACB and cricket loving country Afghanistan have lost their aggressive opener and very good person Najeeb Tarakai (29). He died in a tragic traffic accident. We are all shocked! May Allah bless him with mercy ‘.

Najib was crossing the road from East Nangarhar when he got hit by a car. He was rushed to the hospital shortly thereafter. He went into a coma after being injured in the accident. His head was deeply hurt.

Please tell that Najibullah has played 12 T20 Internationals for Afghanistan. He made his international debut against Bangladesh in the 2014 T20 World Cup. He last played against Bangladesh in September 2019. Talking about domestic cricket, Najibullah has played 24 first-class matches, in which he has given 2030 runs with 6 centuries and 10 half-centuries.
