Gold Coast: Ben Stokes, one of the best all-rounders in the world, joined the England cricket team for the first time after a break of 6 months for the first training session at the Metricon Stadium in Gold Coast, Queensland on Thursday.

Ben Stokes has joined senior players like England captain Joe Root and Stuart Broad for a full training session. These players have reached Australia early to prepare for the Ashes.

Ben Stokes took a break to recover from mental health problems and a finger injury, after which this all-rounder was included in the England Cricket Team of late.

Other players will reach Australia soon

England’s team suffered a defeat against New Zealand in the ICC T20 World Cup semi-final on Wednesday, after which the rest of the players selected for the Ashes will join the team. Players like Jos Buttler, Jonny Bairstow, David Malan, Chris Woakes and Mark Wood will come to Australia from Dubai.

Stokes is a threat to the opposing team

Ben Stokes has taken 4631 runs and 163 wickets in 71 Test matches, 2871 runs and 74 wickets in 101 ODIs. Stokes has taken 442 runs and 19 wickets in 34 T20 Internationals. Looking at his record, it is evident that he has the power to create fear in any opposing team with ball and bat.
