New Delhi: Indian women’s team cricketer Veda Krishnamurthy’s mother and sister died due to Coronavirus. This cricketer has told that she was badly broken after losing her mother and sister.

Nine members in the family of Veda Krishnamurthy were infected with this virus. His mother and sister died within two weeks in Karnataka last month.

Recalling those days, Veda Krishnamurthy told ESPNcricinfo, ‘I believe in luck a lot but I really hoped that my sister would return home. When it didn’t happen, I was completely broke. This was the condition of all of us’.

He said, ‘I had to be courageous for the rest of the family. I had to learn in these two weeks to learn to remove myself from misery, but it kept coming back again and again. I was the only one in my family who did not get infected with the virus and in such a situation, I was handling the medical facilities at that time. It was then realized that how many other people have to struggle even for basic facilities.

Veda Krishnamurthy said, ‘Mental strength is important. My elder sister Vatsala was very scared before death’.

He said, ‘My mother was also probably nervous as she came to know the night before her death that everyone in the family including the children had tested positive. I don’t know but maybe it had an effect on him. Veda revealed that she dealt with mental health issues on her own.
