New Delhi: Bangladesh wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim asked spinner Mehdi Hasan to stop Sri Lankan batsman Pathun Nisanka from cheating during the second ODI against Sri Lanka. Rahim scored 125 runs in this match and played an important role in helping his team win.
Rahim created ‘Dirty Plan’
Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka by 103 runs under the Duckworth-Louis rule to take an unassailable 2–0 lead in the three-match series. Mushfiqur Rahim was found in the stump mic saying to Mehdi Hasan, ‘When you run out of trouble, come in front of them.’ Meanwhile, Rahim said that the other batsmen of the team need to perform.
What did Rahim say after the match?
Rahim said, ‘I think Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan score continuously, but they had a bad day. Litton Das, Afif and Mossadeq need to capitalize on the opportunity. He said, ‘If seven or eight batsmen perform, then things will get easier. They have to be more selective about shot selection. I think junior players need to contribute, otherwise things will be difficult for us.
