Actually, Delhi Capitals all-rounder Marcus Stoinis came in to bowl in the second over of the Punjab Kings innings. On the fifth ball of Marcus Stoinis’ over, Punjab Kings batsman Manayak Aggarwal played a good shot for 2 runs, but Prithvi Shaw, fielding at the boundary line, threw a quick throw towards Rishabh Pant.

Due to Prithvi’s quickness, Mayank Agarwal was able to take only one run in place of 2 runs, but Rishabh Pant was scared due to Prithvi Shaw’s fiery throw and he saved himself by bowing down. On seeing Rishabh Pant afraid, Prithvi Shaw could not stop his laughter.

Explain that on the basis of Shikhar Dhawan’s 69-run unbeaten innings, Delhi Capitals achieved the top position in the points table by defeating Punjab Kings by 7 wickets in the IPL match played at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Delhi won the toss and bowled first, restricting Punjab to 166 runs for six wickets. Punjab has suffered a fifth defeat in eight matches and the team is at number six in the points table with six points.

Delhi then achieved the target of 167 runs by losing three wickets in 17.4 overs. This is Delhi’s sixth win in 8 matches and the team has now reached the top of the points table with 12 points. Dhawan, along with Prithvi Shaw, gave Delhi a good start again. Dhawan kept one end till the end and faced 47 balls in his innings, hitting six fours and two sixes. With this, Delhi registered their sixth win by scoring 167 runs for three wickets in 17.4 overs.
