Vinay Kumar, who had made a career through IPL, announced the retirement


New Delhi: Fast bowler Vinay Kumar, who has played in every format for Team India, has announced the retirement. This 37-year-old player is known as Davangere Express. He has played 1 Test, 31 ODIs and 9 T20 Internationals for India.

Vinay Kumar wrote on Twitter, ‘After 25 years of travel and cricketing life, the Davangere Express today has finally reached a station named Retirement. With mixed emotion, I declare Vinay Kunar that I have retired from international and first class cricket.

Vinay Kumar further wrote in his official statement, ‘It was not such an easy decision, although such a moment comes in the life of every player who has to decide to stop work.’ Vinay Kumar has played matches with many former and current cricketers and he feels lucky for this.

He said, ‘My cricketing career got better with great players like Anil Kumble, Rahul Dravid, MS Dhoni, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina and Rohit Sharma. I consider myself lucky because I found Sachin Tendulkar (Sachin Tendulkar) as a mentor in the Mumbai Indians team.

Vinay Kumar further said, yet it is a retirement station that is refreshing to me the memories of my entire career. However, Davangere Express has been stopped for some time and not derailed. I will keep running and my journey will continue so that I can return something to cricket. Now I have to walk for miles before sleeping.
