new Delhi: Virat Kohli, the captain of the Indian cricket team, has been appointed the brand ambassador of the sanitation brand Wise. Virat has decided to donate the amount received from the promotion of this brand to help malnourished children. The amount donated by Kohli will be given to Raha Foundation, a philanthropic organization in Maharashtra, which works for the upliftment of children of undernourished and underprivileged.
In his association with Wise, Virat Kohli said, ‘As a player we get a lot of love. We are worshiped like heroes but in this difficult time Kovid-19 warriors are our true heroes, who are risking their lives to save others. I am very happy to join Wise. Because these are not only world class products, which have followed strict guidelines at the time of manufacture, but have also provided me an opportunity to contribute for social causes. I feel very excited to be associated with Wise, as I am joining an initiative which aims to fight against malnutrition in India through my income from Wise ‘.
Kohli (Virat Kohli) is on a tour of Australia and he will take part in ODIs and T20 series there. Kohli’s actress wife Anushka Sharma is due to become a mother in December and that is why Kohli has taken paternity leave after the first match of the four-match Test series to be held with Australia. He will return home after playing in the Pink Ball Test to be held in Adelaide. This will be the first day-night Test between India and Australia.
