Virat Kohli is one of the greatest batsmen to grace the game of cricket, but he is sure to follow other sports. He is known to be a passionate football fan and on Friday he also showed his love for basketball. Kohli shared a selfie on his Instagram stories in which he is seen wearing the cap of NBA team Chicago Bulls. “90s bulls anyone? (sic)” he captioned the photo, referring to the team’s greatest era. Under the leadership of the unparalleled Michael Jordan, the Bulls won six championship titles in the 1990s. That Bulls team is considered one of the greatest teams of all time.
Apart from Jordan, the team also included others like Scotty Pippen and Dennis Rodman and was coached by the great Phil Jackson.
The era of Chicago Bulls dominance in the 90s was well documented in the series ‘The Last Dance’.
Kohli recently returned to action in the Asia Cup after a month-long break from cricket.
After battling poor form for a long period of time, Kohli performed brilliantly in the competition, even as India crashed out in the Super 4 stage after losing to Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
Kohli hit two half-centuries and then scored his maiden T20I century in the match against Afghanistan.
This was his first international century since November 2019 and was a matter of relief for all.
Kohli would like to continue as India gears up for the 2022 T20 World Cup, which begins in Australia next month.
The star batsman will be in action in the three-match T20I series against Australia starting Tuesday and the three-match T20I series against South Africa.
