Trouble has reached due to allegations
Wasim Jaffer has been accused of giving preference to Muslim players. On this Jaffer says that these allegations have hurt him a lot. Jaffer said, ‘The community angle being put is very sad. He alleged that I support Iqbal Abdulla and wanted to make him captain, which is totally wrong. Please tell that Jaffer resigned from the post of coach on Tuesday due to the interference in the selection and the partisan attitude of the selectors and the secretary of the association.
Jaffer wanted to make Jay Bista the captain
Wasim Jaffer said that he wanted Jay Bista to captain the team, not Iqbal Abdullah, but other selectors suggested him to captain Abdullah (Iqbal Abdulla). He said, ‘I wanted to make Jai Bista the captain, but Rizwan Shamshad and other selectors suggested me to make Iqbal the captain. He is a senior player, has played IPL and is also older in age. I accepted his suggestion.
I did not call clerics in the bio-bubble
Wasim Jaffer said that he did not bring maulvis during the practice session. He said, ‘Maulvi came in bio bubble and we read Namaz. I want to tell you that whatever maulvi came to Dehradun during the camp, I did not call him on two or three fines. We used to offer Namaz in the room every day, but I used to read Namaz of Zuma together, so I thought it would be good if someone comes for it. We read Namaz in the dressing room five minutes after net practice. If it is communal, then I could change the practice time according to the time of Namaz, but I am not like that.
