Lahore Pakistan batsman Fakhar Zaman is out of the upcoming New Zealand Tour. He has fever and could not recover until the team left for the tour. Pakistan Cricket Board said that after Fakhar’s condition deteriorated, he was isolated in the team hotel in Lahore, but his coronavirus test came negative.

In a statement issued by the PCB, the team’s doctor Sohail Saleem said, “Fakhar’s Kovid test report has come on Sunday which is negative, but today he has fever.” Pakistan has to play 3 T20 and 2 Test matches on New Zealand tour. The tour starts on 18 December.
The statement said, “As soon as his status was received, he was isolated in the team hotel. We are keeping an eye on their condition and wishing for their early recovery. However, he is not fit to travel with the team. Therefore, he has withdrawn his name from the team.
