When the BCCI president meets his cricket counterpart in Australia, only some decision will be made. According to the new quarantine rules, it is impossible for both these injured players to reach Australia on time and play in the opening match of the Test series. According to the rules, Rohit Sharma and Ishant Sharma will have to be fully quarantined and they will not be allowed to train during this time.

The source said, ‘All the other Indian cricketers were allowed to train in Sydney during the quarantine period as all these players had moved from one bio bubble (UAE) to another bio bubble (Sydney). If Rohit and Ishant are to be included in the first Test, then the rules will need to be relaxed as both these players returned to India from UAE which is not a bio bubble in Australia’s eyes.

NCA head Rahul Dravid said that Ishant will be fit till the Test series. If we talk about Rohit, then this batsman will have to spend few more days in NCA to be 100 percent fit. Now it has to be seen what outcome the BCCI and Cricket Australia will reach regarding Rohit and Ishant.
