Dubai: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli attended the team’s first practice session on Saturday after completing a six-day quarantine period after returning from England. Kohli and fast bowler Mohammad Siraj arrived here on September 12 by charter plane from London for the second phase of IPL 2021, after which both the players remained in quarantine for six days.

RCB posted a three-minute video and tweeted, ‘Bold diaries: Kohli joins RCB team after completing quarantine. There is happiness in the team camp as Kohli, Siraj and some of our foreign players have joined the first nets season. It is seen in the video that Kohli and a few other players who have completed their quarantine are seen with their respective kit bags at the training ground where they were welcomed by the players and coaching staff including AB de Villiers.

Siraj said in the video, ‘All the batsmen are looking in good form. It is good for the team that Glenn Maxwell, Kohli bhai and de Villiers sir are all in good form.
Mike Hesson, Director of Cricket Operations, RCB, said, “It is always better to be face-to-face with the captain than to discuss strategy from afar. The six-day quarantine gave Kohli a chance to freshen up. Now working on making sure we are all on the same page.
IPL to start from 19th September
IPL 2021, which was postponed due to Corona on May 4, will now be restarted in September and its final will be held in October. The remaining matches of IPL 2021 are going to start from September 19 and the final match will be played on October 15. Let us tell you that RCB will play their first match in the second leg against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on 20 September in Dubai.
