The latest report of Gsmarena has informed that Asus company is now preparing to enter the budget smartphone segment once again. Citing new leaks, the report states that the Asus company is currently working on four new devices, whose codenames of chipsets have been revealed. This codename “Lito”, “Lagoon”, “Bengal” and “Scuba”. All these chipset codenames have been listed in many smartphones in the past, so it can be inferred that these four devices can be mid-Rand smartphones.
According to the report, the “Lito” codename may be Snapdragon 765 / 765G. While the “Lagoon” might be the Snapdragon 690. Both of these are modern mid-range parts, which can come with 5G capacity in the chipset. However, if we talk about “Bengal” and “Scuba” codenames, then there is some ambiguity, “Bengal” codename can be of Snapdragon 662 processor or Snapdragon 460 processor. The “Scuba” codename is a member of the very cheap Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor family.
Apart from all these, more information about these four Asus smartphones has not been revealed at the moment.
Let me tell you, recently, the company launched its flagship level Asus ZenFone 7 and ZenFone 7 Pro in Taiwan, starting at TWD 21,990 (about Rs 55,700). At the moment, information about its global launch has not been revealed. In July, the company launched its gaming ROG Phone 3 in India, which has an initial price of 49,999.
