The new trailer has been shared on Battlefield’s official YouTube channel, showing game engine footage. However, the actual gameplay footage will be revealed on Sunday, June 13. The trailer reveals game modes, which include All-Out Warfare and Hazard Zone. These will be introduced on EA Play Live on July 22. Battlefield 2042 will feature massive battles in all-out warfare with Conquest and Breakthrough modes. In this, 128 players will take to the field simultaneously on Xbox Series X / Series S, PlayStation 5 and PC. However, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will support a maximum of 64 players.
A new ‘Levolution’ element is also shown in the trailer. It’s a tornado that will move across the map and can drag objects, vehicles, players, etc., and even ruin parts of the map. Wingsuited players can fly around and the guns can be customized whenever needed.
There will be a total of seven maps in Battlefield 2042 named Orbital, Hourglass, Kaleidoscope, Manifest, Discarded, Breakaway and Renewal. The capture zone mechanism will be slightly different from the previous games in the series, being huge maps.
Battlefield 2042 is available for pre-order now and will be released on October 22. It can be purchased for Rs 3,499 on PC via Steam, Origin and Epic Store. The game will cost Rs 4,499 on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, and Rs 3,999 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Its original gameplay will be shown on June 13.
