BSNL has confirmed that the validity of the plan for affected prepaid subscribers is being extended till 31 May. This extension is free-of-cost, so that subscribers can continue to receive incoming calls even during this difficult time. As we mentioned, the extension in validity and 100 minutes of free calling benefits will be given to prepaid customers whose plans expired on or after April 1.
BSNL Managing Director Pravin Kumar Purwar has also urged customers to resort to online options instead of relying on retail stores to recharge their mobile numbers.
BSNL last month announced an extension of Rs 398 Special Tariff Voucher (STV) for its customers. However, this promotional offer was to end on 9 April, but now it has been made available till 8 July. This plan includes unlimited high-speed data, unlimited voice calls and daily 100 free SMS with a validity of 30 days.
