BSNL’s free ‘Work @ Home’ and Rs 499 Bharat Fiber plan available now till December

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has increased the availability of its Work @ Home promotional broadband plan which provides internet facility to its landline customers at no extra charge. This plan is now available till 8 December. This is especially for BSNL landline customers who do not have broadband connection. Along with the Work @ Home broadband plan, BSNL has also increased the availability of the Rs 499 Bharat Fiber Broadband Plan, named 300GB Plan CS337. The availability of this plan has been extended till December 12. However, this broadband plan is limited to select circles.

According to a circular posted on the Chennai site by BSNL, the Work @ Home promotional broadband plan has been extended till December 8 in all circles, except Andaman and Nicobar. In March, this plan was launched to provide free internet for 90 days.

Work @ home broadband plan provides 5 GB of data per day. It offers download speeds of up to 10Mbps. After the quota is met, the speed drops to 1Mbps.

BSNL is not charging any installation or service charges from customers for providing internet access under the promotion plan. However, customers have to use their own modem or CPE to take advantage of the broadband experience. This plan is available for one month from the date of activation.

According to OnlyTech, BSNL states that “after the promotional period is over, customers using this plan will be migrated to regular broadband plans.”

Apart from increasing the availability of Work @ Home plan, BSNL has extended the availability of 300GB Plan CS337 to India fiber customers in Kolkata, Sikkim and West Bengal till 12 December, according to TelecomTalk. This plan was launched last December under a 90-day promotional period, although this plan has been continuously extended since then.

The 300GB Plan CS337 offers 40Mbps speed and 300GB data for a month, along with unlimited local and STD calls. After the completion of the data given in the plan, the speed decreases to 1Mbps.
