BSNL’s JIO collision: giving unlimited calling, 25GB data in postpaid plan of Rs 199

BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) has revised its postpaid plan of Rs 199. BSNL is now offering unlimited off net and on net voice calls in this plan. In this, the company has removed the Fair Usage Policy (FUP). BSNL was only offering 300 minutes of net calls in the first plan. After enabling free voice calls made by the company in the plan, now users will be able to make unlimited calls to landline, BSNL and other operators numbers as well.

Monthly 25 GB data is also being given to users in BSNL’s postpaid plan of Rs 199. Apart from this, the company is also giving the facility of data rollover to the users. Users can avail rollover facility up to 75 GB data. The changes made by BSNL in the Rs 199 plan have become valid from February 1. According to the report of OnlyTech, BSNL Chennai division has also tweeted about this. Government telecom company BSNL has told Gadgets 360 that the changes in the plan will be valid across the country.

BSNL had earlier revised the Rs 199 postpaid plan in December. Earlier this plan used to come with 25 GB data. The company then added unlimited voice calling support to it, which was also included for national roaming with the home network, including the MTNL roaming area. Daily 100SMS facility was also being provided in the plan.

BSNL’s Rs 199 postpaid plan competes with Reliance Jio’s Rs 199 postpaid plan. Jio is also offering subscription of Jio apps in its plan. In the telecom space, BSNL-MTNL is the only government telecom company which, besides Jio, is competing in the market with Airtel and Vodafone Idea.
