The GSMArena report citing a company representative informs that the Huawei P50 series will be launched globally. Information about the global launch date has not been made public at the moment.
Earlier this week, Huawei confirmed on its Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo that the Huawei P50 series will launch in China on July 29. The company also shared a teaser video, in which a model of the Huawei P50 with Leica optics and 125mm periscope lens was seen with f/3.4 aperture. The Huawei P40 Pro+ smartphone was launched last year with a 125mm lens, which included 10x optical zoom.
The teaser video also indicates that the Huawei phone models will have curved edges and metal built in. The dual ring camera design can also be seen in the teaser, information of which has also been revealed earlier.
Huawei is also said to offer a patented liquid lens technology to provide millisecond-level focusing in its P50 series. Apart from this, hole-punch display and 5G support can also be given in the company’s new smartphone model.
The Kirin 9000 processor can be given in the Chinese variant of the Huawei P50 series, while the Snapdragon 888 processor will be present in the global model. A 4G special model of the phone can also be offered in the global market.
Last year, Huawei launched the P40 series in China, which included the P40, P40 Pro and P40 Pro+ phones. All these three phones came with 5G connectivity and had Kirin 990 processor. Huawei also introduced the P40 4G variant under the P40 series in March this year.
