Jio Fiber’s existing customers will get the benefit of the new plan on the old recharge from September 5

Jio Fiber is informing its existing customers via SMS that they will be upgraded to “Unlimited Internet” with a symmetric download and upload speed from 5 September. Let us tell you, the company has recently launched its new and affordable broadband plan. However, Jio is not directly moving existing subscribers towards the new plan, but the new upgrade is being offered only on a trial basis which will continue till the next billing process. The broadband operator will allow users to switch to any new plan after the post trial.

Jio Fiber is providing auto-upgrade information by sending SMS messages to its existing customers, which will provide them unlimited internet with a similar download and upload speed. This new Jio Fiber plan was launched on Monday. Existing users will get the same benefits on the same plan as the Jio Fiber portfolio, while if they do not have a new plan similar to the old plan, they will get the same benefits.

Many users made the information of this SMS public through Twitter and complained that this step has been taken without giving them any information about the benefits of the new plan. Users complain that the operator has not provided them with clear information about the upgrade process. Some users have also raised questions about whether they would have to pay additional charges for the upgrade benefits, which they have not even requested.

It is important to mention here that Jio Fiber is offering this auto-upgrade on a trial basis. The existing customer will get the option of proceeding to the next billing process whether he wants to continue these new benefits or not. For example, if the existing customer is on a Silver plan (which is available for Rs 849 per month), they get a 150 Mbps download and upload speed with unlimited internet if they continue with the new plan in the next billing cycle. If they are, they will get this facility with a gold plan of Rs 999.

It is worth noting that Jio Fiber has not given the option to the users to go back to their old plan. However, they have been given the option to switch to any of the new plans.
